Student Visa (subclass 500)

The Student visa (subclass 500) is the entry point for almost every course ACEM places students into. It covers the length of your course plus a short buffer, and allows limited work rights alongside study.
Holders can bring eligible family members, and the visa is the usual first step on the course-to-PR pathway ACEM maps out for each occupation.
Who this visa is for
Broadly, you'll need:
- A Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) from a CRICOS-registered course
- Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) requirement met
- Adequate health insurance (OSHC)
- Sufficient funds evidence
- English language requirement met (or a packaged ELICOS course)
